- Repairs major error in 1.1.0 which causes game to fail when attempting to load a 1.1.0 file with tutorial mode off. 1.1.1 will successfully open any file.
- Literally 8 years pass, V1.1.1 was released just prior to my first semester as an A&P lecture instructor at CSUEB and new updates started with the COVID19 quarantine.
- 4/19/20 9:00 PM: Uploaded version 1.1.2
- Small but important bugs fixed:
- A crash bug stemming from forgetting to initialize an array when reading a file in the Rivals
- A crash bug related to opening a file with too many teams
- Errors and sloppinesses in the Academy
- Problems with casting spells to implant powers into Soldiers, esp. related to being on teams
- Cleaned up issues with beast owners losing their beast
- Wasn't handling dead leaders, now it is
- Fixed the issues with spies not returning to the defense force
- Made the perimeter score more meaningful, can go up to 10 days detection but at low levels only get 1 or 2 days
- Added more variety and structure to all researches (powers, beasts, undead, artifacts and spirits) and more rival names
- Streamlined and greatly improved the formulas for determining if someone is eligible for a beast and for a power
- Soldiers can be sent on beast taming missions mid-month
- Artifacts with magical boost no longer elevate other stats
- End-of-spell and mission-complete menus created for new research spells
- Ability to access research spells from team mission complete menu
- 4/25/20 2:00 PM: Uploaded version 1.2.0
- Beast taming tools and undead tools require spell casting rather than instant purchase
- Lesser undead summoning tools are kept in a reservoir until assigned to necromancers
- The greater undead spell must be cast by a necromancer on the research team, who must be on the team the entire time, and the spell fails if the researcher is taken off (i.e. killed in an attack)
- Fixed a bug that causes team order for minion summoning to, uh, not summon but still cost money (oops)
- Research now costs money, currently at a rate of $1 = 3 rp, and can be budgeted in the research options
- More high level missions come up as the game goes on
- 5/15/2020 6:00PM: Uploaded version 1.3.0
- Healing has been completely overhauled. Natural healing still takes place at a very reduced rate, and soldiers may be recruited into the medical corps (all soldiers have an innate amount of medical skill from 0 to 10 that can only be measured if they are part of the defense forces).
- Soldiers that take a lot of damage become "critically injured" (their status becomes "Injured" instead of "Active") and they will die without competent medical care. The medical soldiers may gain ranks in medical skill, the most excellent among them may earn the rank of Surgeon and be very skilled at healing soldiers.
- The medical team works every day to heal soldiers according to the limits of available technology. When medical team soldiers are idle they may contribute to medical research to improve the medical technology. Medical technology can be researched to include a Medical Sorcery team that can provide magical healing.
- Patients need to be in a hospital bed to get healed, and these are built in hospital wings, all this runs through existing building menus
- When a large number of soldiers are injured and put in the hospital at once a medical crisis is declared.
- 5/20/20 4:00PM: Uploaded version 1.3.1
- Fixed some bugs in healing related to admitting and discharging soldiers on teams, medical research, and medical sorcery
- Minor adjustments to missions
- Fixed a very minor bug in failing to initialize spelltype when a group spell has never been cast
- Added ability to re-add medics to medical team without a medical crisis (oops)
- 6/26/20 11:00PM: Uploaded version 1.3.2
- *Important*: FINALLY found the long-sought bug in war missions. The wrong function was being used in two places for the pending time to complete a mission. Has been repaired.
- Minor bug fixes such as:
- Soldiers implanted with special powers may now be added to the defense force immediately
- IsQualified for beast taming wasn't checking the last member of the team (good ol' off-by-1 error)
- Auto-hospitalizing spies turned off
- Artifact adding to research team had a bug that is now fixed
- Adding idle soldiers to defense had some minor issues, which created problems with double-adding soldiers to defense and the leader becoming idle
- Enemy clan attacks now have a chance to spoil the research team's in-progress spell cast
- Some format adjustments have been made to avoid line breaks
- Adjusted Beast and Minion code slightly, including making legendary non-magic beasts more powerful, and putting saddles as an option only for rideable beasts like Horses and Mammoths
- 2/27/22 10:00PM: Uploaded version 1.4.0
- Addition of white magic (Angel magic) and red magic (demon magic)
- Angels are discovered and icons of power can be built for each one like mass-produced artifacts
- Nephilim can be discovered, which are implantations of angelic power into soldiers
- Nephilim can also perform research to upgrade icons
- Statues of angels can be built to passively improve defenses
- Lesser demons can be summoned similar to spirit soldiers but they disappear after a predefined time limit
- Greater demons can be summoned directly into soldiers, and make that soldier more powerful but eventually steal their soul
- Greater demons can also learn curses that severely damage rival organizations
- Addition of new abilities for green magic (beast hunting) and blue magic (spirit artifacts)
- Some beasts can learn to hunt magical prey that give special powers to soldiers
- Spirit artifacts hold a powerful spirit with starting powerlevel 1 that can gain XP with their wielder and become very mighty
- Addition of spells that can be collected via dangerous missions
- Retooled academy and made upgrades to medical system
- Improvements to soldier power gain
- Adjustments to beasts, powers, and artifacts in name and structure
- Many small changes and bug fixes

Other planned features
- IDEA: Missions from individuals and countries count towards reputation, missions are less frequent and thus more important to achieve success on (especially from countries that are of high importance). GOAL: 1.5.0
- IDEA: Kaiju (giant monsters) that can be either attacked and killed, sealed into a soldier to harness its power, or redirected to attack a rival (Com/Mag/Sub). GOAL: 1.5.0
- IDEA: Enhance the Rival combat to include a semi-ambush mode
- IDEA: Alchemy could be introduced as a neutral magic school, possibly to create rare materials needed for other spells (???)
- IDEA: Hidden special schools where you can send soldiers to eventually learn their secrets and teach your own soldiers the special arts.
